What $1 Sale Games Did/Will/Might You Buy This Weekend?

There's one heck of a sale going on this weekend.

Over the years we've seen PSN grow, thrive, and flourish. Sony has made the wise move of creating a Steam-esque roving discount set more recently. Part of that strategy has been to offer a number of non-PS Plus deals that sensible gamers simply cannot refuse in the form of flash sales.

We told you about the $1 deal earlier but I'd like to reiterate the awesomeness of it to raise the profile a tad. Not all the games are going to be up your alley but with so many different kinds of experiences, 30 total, I'm betting most of you can find something worth a buck.

I didn't think I'd want any of them even after reading the full list but I jumped on PSN today anyway and watched some trailers. I settled on Jurassic Park, Urban Trial Freestyle, and Tokyo Jungle (I couldn't resist after seeing a dog dressed in traditional robes conquering post-apocalyptic Tokyo).

I think we should support these sales whenever we can. Great fun for a buck and a shot at future sales? Yes please. I wouldn't mind picking up The Walking Dead for a buck one day.

Which of these games did you, are you, or might you be interested in playing? If you've already got them go ahead and give your friends an excuse to put up a dollar for the cause. Remember the sale only lasts this weekend.

I long meant to pick up 'Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse', but never did until now. Really grateful to finally get it for such a great price.

Urban Trial Freestyle and Tokyo Jungle.

Urban Trial Freestyle is a disappointment compared to even the original Trials, but it still has a fun quality to it.

Tokyo Jungle is a hoot. There is a thrill to the survival aspect (especially considering I have started this adventure with the Pomeranian) and I am impressed with the stock animal selection (though my wife is inevitably going to demand I at least get the panda). I had been looking at the game for months and getting it for $1 just made it impossible to pass on. Turns out... it was worth the regular price. IMO, of course.

Being from the UK, I still have $4 left on my US account. I bought Tales of Monkey Island, Back to the Future, Tokyo Jungle & Crash Team Racing. I would have bought all the Crash & Spyro's but I have them on disc already. I was looking for a decent PS1 game in the sale to spent my left over credit but got much more than I was bargained for and I am very pleased :)

I got red faction 1 & 2, Crash Bandicoot 2 & 3. I aready had the original crash Bandicoot downloaded if i get another card before the weekend is over i might grab Spyro 1,2, and 3 and Gex. Red Fraction 1 & 2 at 99ยข each is better then the upcoming HD collection coming out soon enless the HD collection has trophies but if i remember correctly it doesn't

I'd imagine any HD collection would have to have trophies.

Now this is the kind of price point I can deal with buying digital!

Some nice deals, picked up Tales of Monkey Island, Jurassic Park (even though it hasn't exactly received the best review scores) & echochrome II... Too bad the original echochrome wasn't included too...
