Welcome everyone to PSX Extreme's list of Playstation games to get for the holiday season, this year was an exceptional year in videogaming, primarily the Playstation, and the release of the Playstation 2. The shopping madness has now officially begun and we here at PSX Extreme bring you the list of games categorized by genres that you need to get for your holidays, whether it's Chanukah or Christmas or Kuanza. We will start of with the top three action games to get for Playstation.
Action:

2) Medal of Honor: Underground (Buy It) - The follow up sequel to the Playstation's best first person shooter game, MOH: Underground is a marvelous videogame of tremendous magnitude. Steven Spielberg's videogame team Dreamwork's Interactive had created one fine game that lives up to its predecessor in more ways than one. The visuals are up to snuff, to say the least, the FPS gameplay is some of the best you can possibly play, this time around instead of being a male character, you control a female character and once again
assassinating Hitler's army of nazis, this is the perfect gift, especially for Chanukah.
3) Tenchu 2 (Full
Review,
Buy It) - Activision's break through prequel to the original Tenchu is a must have action game for the holiday season. Tenchu 2 lets you play as three different ninjas (one being secret), with over 25 stages, as you play your journey, you will come across incredible plot twists, and very bloody action. The visuals aren't the best but they do get the job done, and the map editor option adds to the replay value. The action requires stealth a lot like Metal Gear Solid, so you NGS fans might really want to check out Tenchu 2 out.
Adventure:
1) SpiderMan (Full
Review, Buy It) - My pick as adventure game of the year definitely goes to yet another Activision game which is SpiderMan. SpiderMan is based on Neversoft's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater engine, and it is one amazing videogame that many won't forget quickly. While it isn't the longest game, it still has got a decent amount of replay value that should keep most
committed gamers going. SpiderMan's enemies such as Doctor Octavius, Venom, Carnage and many more, are all here with the narration of Stan Lee in the background setting the scenes. Make sure you pick SpiderMan, this is one game you won't regret picking up.

4) Chicken
Run (Full
Review, Buy It)
- Being the best acclaimed movie of the year, Chicken Run is not only an amazing motion picture but its videogame adaptation is remarkable as well. The games visual sense is superb, the developer captured the witty essence of the movie and
seamlessly re-created the visuals to make them look as good as the movie. The gameplay contains a chunk of elements taken straight from Metal Gear Solid and it's executed superbly so that the action is intense and at the same time
amusing. And the games voice acting segments are first class, it really sounds like the movie, given the fact that the movie crew contributed to the dialogue. Make sure you give Chicken Run a purchase, it's one of the most enjoyable movie to videogame adaptations that have been released in quite some time.
