Top 20 PS2 Games of year one

It's been exactly 365 days since that one faithful day, when 500,000 people anxiously greeted a new console into their lives, the Playstation 2. Over the course of the past year, the memories I've had with the Playstation 2 compare to the memories I've had with legendary consoles such as the Commodore 64, NES, SNES, Sega Genesis and Playstation. Sony's 128-bit next-generation wonder has found its way into my gaming heart, and has tied me over. Initially, people would claim that the PS2's launch was average, when that was far from the truth. The console's five most notable launch titles included: Madden NFL 2001, Tekken Tag Tournament, Midnight Club: Street Racing, Smuggler's Run and of course SSX. A year has passed since then, and the PS2's US library has grown to nearly 150! Currently, there are nearly 6-7 million PS2 owners in the US, but sadly many of those owners overlook some of the best titles in the PS2's library, and end up buying Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2, Surfing H30, or worse- Motor Mayhem. In case you've been pummeled by bricks and spent the past 11 months in an infirmary, here's a list of Playstation 2 games that every PS2 owner MUST have, or at least play. This list will be a countdown of 20 MUST have titles; games that are scheduled for release after October 26th, 2001 are not liable for entry. Without further adieu, here it is:

   That's the list, folks. If by now, you haven't played -or purchased- any of those games, there's something very wrong with you. Every single one of those titles is a fine example of videogaming. I strongly suggest that these games are visited by each and every one of you reading this. I don't expect you to purchase every one of those games, but like I said these are titles that just cannot be overlooked. My highest recommendation is of course to play the top 5 games, these are classics to be remembered!

There was a lot re-arranging going on, but in the end Devil May Cry snagged the #1 spot while Gran Turismo 3 is sitting at a comfy second, with ICO, Grand Theft Auto 3 and Ace Combat 4 closely trailing in the positions to follow.
