The Libertines: Up The Bracket -- Music Review

Just when you thought it was time to give up on British music, out of no where The Libertines debut album, " Up The Bracket", hits you hard and hits you good. This album has some of the best punk rock songwriting since the days of The Clash, The Jam, The Buzzcocks, and The Sex Pistols. As soon as the first track "Vertigo" hits, you know that this album is gold and it continues to ride that wave all the way to the end. Songs like "Horror Show" show these boys can flat out go nuts and create beautiful chaos and then quickly switch gears and with amazing ballads such as "Radio America" and "Time For Heroes".

If you're looking for a punk rock album that will floor you and remind you of the good old days of punk...then this is your CD. Make no mistakes, British punk rock is back and in a good way. "Up The Bracket's" most notable tracks:
