Call Of Duty Fans Deserve To Be Heard
It's only fair.
Last week, we asked those who really despised Call of Duty to provide us with a guest editorial describing why you hate CoD so much; the only caveat was that it couldn't be hostile or inflammatory, and it should also be insightful and relatively well-written.
Well, we ended up publishing two such pieces - one was a creative piece of fiction and the other appropriately warned against the dangers of an industry monopoly - and now it's time to give the opposite camp a shot. The same rules apply; just check the link above.
Write it up, and then submit your piece supporting, defending and promoting Call of Duty to me at:
bdutka[at]psxextreme.com
Remember, it should be of a normal length for an article (check other editorials on our site for reference), and it must be informed, civil, and well-written. If yours fits this criteria and grabs our attention, it will be published with your name as author. It's as simple as that. Just bear in mind that you'll need a thick skin...we don't have a ton of CoD followers here at PSXE, and they're bound to take issue with some things you have to say.
But we'll make sure flaming is quickly eliminated. So feel free to send your best work and defend one of your favorite franchises!

After all I grew up gaming like all of you who frequent this site. I want variety and engrossing gameplay that grabs a hold of you and gives you truly unforgettable experiences.
That being said I'm not just a "hater" like I've been accused of being of before. I still own MW1 and MW2 and play them from time to time. I've played every COD since MW1 in some form or another and came to my own conclusion. But....at one point I loved COD, and played it religiously for hours at a time. I never have regretted any part of that. I just want whoevers in charge to use that money and make a game that is truly a step above in ; gameplay, graphics, online functionality, basically the best of the best. It's COD for god sake....big bad money making machine, shouldn't that matter.
Take better care of the name and it will in return be justified when it sells millions, because the industry would truly be striving to beat the best and not just copying a stale and over remixed MW1....cause that's when COD really was king.
Peace.

I also like that the article for the reason hating CoD wasn't about hate for the game at all. And rather that it's success was harmful. So in otherwords it wasn't hate for the game, it was hate for what the developers have created. We can't really hate a game for it's success, the consumers are the people making it super successful.

This is my opinion you don't need to agree of course but that's just my 2 cents on the matter.
