Call Of Duty Fans Deserve To Be Heard

Much harder to sell the argument than the game.

I've often voiced my distaste for COD. The constant rehash and feed to the masses approach bothers me. The thought of a game using the same aging engine, developing near identical games year after year and selling millions in the process doing it to the point of actually influencing the industry into shifting towards "twitch" gaming, just bothers me.

After all I grew up gaming like all of you who frequent this site. I want variety and engrossing gameplay that grabs a hold of you and gives you truly unforgettable experiences.

That being said I'm not just a "hater" like I've been accused of being of before. I still own MW1 and MW2 and play them from time to time. I've played every COD since MW1 in some form or another and came to my own conclusion. But....at one point I loved COD, and played it religiously for hours at a time. I never have regretted any part of that. I just want whoevers in charge to use that money and make a game that is truly a step above in ; gameplay, graphics, online functionality, basically the best of the best. It's COD for god sake....big bad money making machine, shouldn't that matter.

Take better care of the name and it will in return be justified when it sells millions, because the industry would truly be striving to beat the best and not just copying a stale and over remixed MW1....cause that's when COD really was king.

COD5 with updated engine will do better, hopefully. Don't hate COD at all, so other FPS out there that don't get boring once in a while.

Call of Duty players deserve to be heard? They've already clearly spoken w/the most dominant sales in the history of gaming...multiple times over now. We don't need to justify anything here. People that dislike it can play any number of other games/genres out there. They need quit w/their elitist attitude and get over it. It's childish and ignorant. I see these comments w/people regurgitating stuff like "Their engine is outdated". Seriously? Unless you're a programmer you're just repeating something you read elsewhere that you know nothing about. You know, the same way toddlers drop F Bombs because they heard mommy and daddy saying it.

I'd like to write something but I just have a hard time writing clearly without a lot of editing. I dot have time to correct myself! But it would be fun to be involved.

I also like that the article for the reason hating CoD wasn't about hate for the game at all. And rather that it's success was harmful. So in otherwords it wasn't hate for the game, it was hate for what the developers have created. We can't really hate a game for it's success, the consumers are the people making it super successful.

CoD is alot better than all other shooters out there - all other shooters are so boring - special bf3 sigh that game is crap.

cod is so smooth pure action all the time love it.

for clan matches though there is no good games out there - waiting for rainbow six patriots going to take first place again on MLG!

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it, but I disagree. The most fun I had in an FPS was in BF3 with a lot of friends doing some crazy stuff online, MW3 is limited to what you can do, and the fun factor isn't that big for me, it didn't really try to push the boundaries of the game.

This is my opinion you don't need to agree of course but that's just my 2 cents on the matter.

BF3 is anything but crap - its just completly different and a great game to switch over too when your not playing well at MW3 and need to slow it down a little. I have BF3 for my 360 so i dont even have to get up to switch discs ...

controls on bf3 is rubbish, lag, frame rate issues and boring runs when you in a bad squad - oh and then we are 6 friends we can be in the same squad now that is lame. - cod is the better game and most of the world agrees with me everything is smooth on it - love it

the 360 version of BF3 has far superior controls to the sluggish PS3 version - which is very annoying as i bought it initially for my PS3

all third party games are better on 360 thats a fact.

only sony own studios know how to deal with the ps3 which is a shame

im gonna buy dragons dogma for ps3 but im afraid as the demo was better on the 360 aswell

"All" third party games? I don't think so. FF13 is one example. And there is a few others as well, and it's mostly opinion of what runs better, some people don't have any problems with it and some do.
