Following the successful launch of Split Fiction, Hazelight Studios is working on the mo-cap for its next project.
Sharing on social media, studio head Josef Fares has a trio of people in mo-cap suits in the background, all their faces covered by his extended arm, likely not wanting to spoil things.
We already knew that Hazelight was working on a new game back in March, as he revealed during the Friends Per Second Podcast that he’s “fully focused and excited on the next thing that we already have started.” It is important to note though, this doesn’t mean it’s gonna come out soon, especially as Fares and his studio have a very meticulous style that circles around the same ideas but with such different flavor and heartfelt moments that most people don’t care.
All we’ll really throw into the speculation bin is they tend to take three or four years between releases, they started early work in 2025, but we’d be more inclined to believe it’ll be 2027 before the game is revealed with potentially a 2028 release. Now, we could be wrong, but that just seems to be how their calendar works based on their trio of well-received games.
What do you think? Are you excited to see what Fares has cooking? Let us know below!
