Final Fantasy Anthology

Preview

Square/EA has decided that they will bring out Final Fantasy 5 & 6 to U.S. on one CD, which will be entitled as Final Fantasy Anthology . Final Fantasy 5 was supposed to be released here in the U.S. some time ago, but never made it. The game was delayed and renamed a numerous of times until it finally got canned and never made it to the U.S. market. So now Square has decided to give the game a go yet again, but this time it will also include Final Fantasy 6 (a.k.a. FF3).

The game won't have many eye candies, the only ones it will have are from the new CG sequences, that Square will implant. If you thought that the game wouldn't feature anything new in it then you haven't known Square long enough. Square will input CG's into FFV and VI. The CG's will only introduce and finish the game, but a true gamer doesn't care about that. Mainly the two games won't have any graphical touches, but Square just wants to bring back the old school days of RPG's.

If you have played both of the games then you know the story, if not then let me explain.

In Final Fantasy 5 you start out as a brave adventurer who goes by the name of Bartz, he just happens to come across a fallen Meteor. After that he meets up with a princess, an old man, and a captain. The princess' name is Reina, the old man's name is Galuf, and the captain's name is Faris.

Then we come across FF6, this is when it all started to go big for Square and it's highly loveable and popular series. Final Fantasy 6 had the best gameplay out of all the FF's of course standing right next to FF7 and FF8. The game featured 14 FF characters, the most in any Final Fantasy game. All of the characters were very well developed and had much work done on their personality. The game had everything from a "treasure hunter" to a "half human". They were the loveable characters, that captured every RPG player's heart. With kick ass gameplay and an excellent story line I think that FF6 is the best old school RPG ever.

Final Fantasy Anthology will definitely give a hard core gamer a bang for the buck. I am definitely anticipating it. So in conclusion FFA is looking great so far and it should be in stores this October.
