Mega Man Legends 2

Preview

Mega Man Legends was the first Mega Man game to be fully  rendered in 3D. The game had went through a couple of delays, as well as name changes, until it finally hit the stores. MML was one of my most favorite games of '98, and after I completed the game (3 times to be exact), I was dying for a sequel.

The plot is very simple, Roll, Mega Man's best friend, has been kidnapped by... you guessed it Tron Bone, and the Serverbots, and it is all up to Mega Man to save her. MML 2 looks to be a very promising game, both in gameplay and in graphics. The game's looks have been tweaked a lot to make Mega Man's character look very smooth. Unlike the last game this time around Mega Man's arms, legs, gear, head, etc., will be a lot more smoother and more polished. I have seen a couple of screens of the game, and I must say it looks superb. The backgrounds look outstanding in brightness and color.

Most of the gameplay elements from Mega Man Legends will be back as well as some new ones, like the use of both analog sticks. Mega Man Legends 2 will completely support the Analog/Dual Shock controller. The left stick will be used to move Mega Man and the right stick will control the direction Mega is looking at, so right away you can bet the camera and control will be a definite plus. Mega will also have a new lock on system that will keep his enemies in sight at all times.

Mega Man Legends 2 looks to be a killer sequel and it will deliver some hot action. Look for Mega Man Legends 2 to be out around March 2000. I'm really looking forward to it. We will keep updating this preview as the weeks go by.
