PSOne titles dominate overall software sales.

The PSOne refuses to vanish in the wake of its more contemporary brother. In fact, PC Data's list of the top-ten selling videogames through January 13 was saturated with titles featured on the aging platform. Past the prerequisite Pokemon titles atop the list, Sony titles possess seven of the ten spots on the countdown -- only one of which graces the neoteric PlayStation 2 (Madden NFL 2001). The following, in the order of rank; title; publisher; format, is the full list of the top-selling videogames through the week of January 13:

1. Pokemon Silver, Nintendo, Game Boy Color
2. Pokemon Gold, Nintendo, Game Boy Color
3. Madden NFL 2001, EA Sports, PlayStation 2
4. Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation, Eidos, PlayStation
5. Driver 2, Infogrames, PlayStation
6. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, Activision, PlayStation
7. WWF Smackdown! 2, Activision, PlayStation
8. Donkey Kong Country, Nintendo, Game Boy Color,
9. Gran Turismo 2, SCEA, PlayStation
10. Final Fantasy IX, Square EA, PlayStation
