Portable PSX games on the way?
According to a recent Reuters report, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCEI) has joined Dutch KPN Telecom's mobile unit, NTT DoCoMo, to integrate the Sony PlayStation into a mobile Internet network. KPN Mobile, NTT DoCoMo and SCEI are all evidently researching the possibilities of mobile Internet accessibility utilizing the PlayStation console while expanding the gameplay of PSOne titles onto the mobile phones.
According to the report, NTT DoCoMo and SCEI have forged an agreement to share their knowledge of the service in question with six other organizations: KPN Mobile NV, Telecom Italia Mobile, AT&T Wireless, Hutchinson 3G Holdings, Hutchinson Telephone Company Limited, and Taiwan's KG Telecom. Each of the listed would soon provide mobile phone servie to users in the continents of Europe, North America and Asia.
