Namco and Sega Enter Arcade Partnership

  Arcade giants Namco and Sega have reported that they will be joining in partnership in the still active arcade business. The point of the conjunction is to reduce operating costs and once again enter profitability. The agreement covers distribution and maintenance, network alliances, procurement, promotional activities, and research and development.

   Running currently 550 arcade centers, Sega is hoping to see an improvement with the addition of the 376 arcade outfits held by Namco. Sega also hopes to increase its share in the worldwide arcade market fro, 28percent to 35 percent.
