Mystery Countdown Page At Official Japanese PlayStation Site
See Full ImageAbout 58 hours from now, it seems we're in for a surprise from SCEJ. We haven't the slightest idea what it is, but we're hoping it's gonna be big.
First things first: you have to check out this mystery countdown page over at the official Japanese PlayStation site. Let it count down for a while, and you'll hear some seriously freaky stuff going on in the background; all surrounded by what sounds like static. Or perhaps that's supposed to be rainfall...those are rain drops in the picture, right? Perhaps it's counting down to the unveiling of Heavy Rain, but that doesn't seem right, considering it's not a title that's likely to take Japan by storm. It could be something special for Resident Evil 5, just because the background voices are dark and disturbing enough to imply that it's a survival/horror game. Then again, it might not be a game at all. These days, you just never know.
Obviously, this is going to be the subject of much debate over the next few days, and maybe Sony will let something slip between now and then. If not, we'll be anxiously awaiting this mystery unveiling when the counter reaches 00:00:00.
