Konami ships The Grinch for PlayStation.
In the spirit of the season of giving, Konami is shipping a title inspired the most sinister character associated with Christmas. That's right, today Konami of America confirmed that The Grinch has been shipped, and is now on its way to retailers. Despite the malevolence of the title character, the new action/adventure game is apparently nonviolent. In this title, players assume the roles of the Grinch himself, and his dog Max, as the infamous duo tries to deprive the residents of Whoville of Christmas once again. The player is to accomplish this by destroying presents, snatching Christmas decorations from the town, and setting back Whoville's clocks. In addition to the PlayStation, the new title will also be coming to the Dreamcast, Game Boy Color, and the PC somewhere near November's end.
"The Grinch is this year's perfect holiday gift item for children and adults alike," commented Rick Naylor, the brand manager for Konami of America. He continued, "For the first time, gamers will get to play as one of America's most endearing bad boys in an interactive 3D environment."
