Just when you thought she was dead, she's back and the fifth and final installment of the Tomb Raider PlayStation series (she'll be back for the PS2). The game was originally supposed to be a supplement to the movie, but with the movie not coming out for a couple of months, the release of Chronicles got shortened down to about the time of Thanksgiving. In Last Revelation, Lara supposedly died at the end. You'll get to play some of her less-known adventures throughout her life, in the memories of her friends, each whose account of her is an adventure. All missions are totally different from the rest, taking place in different times and places, each mission will have it's own stages corresponding to the mission.

In Chronicles, Lara's also back with some cool new moves, you'll be able to do tight-rope walking, parallel bar swinging and some silent hand-to-hand technique. The game also features new inventory system, much like the Last Revelation which offers a lot more weapons and item combos. You probably want to hear about the weapons? She's got a sniper rifle this time, a grappling hook and a chloroform (if you know what that is); hopefully those new weapons add a little more fun to the game. Since the game revolves around getting clues, you can open up drawers and files to look through them, pretty cool huh? Lara will also have some new tight-a*s outfits including the incredibly popular screenshot cat-burglar outfit. Can't wait to see her running in that!

The full list of characters who will appear in the game include Father Dunstan, Winston, Jean Yves, Wener, Larson, Von Croy, and Pierrre. As before, you'll get to see Lara in four independent adventures, including Rome, where she goes through training, and in which Larson and Pierre, from the first game, appear. Being a lot younger, Lara encounters much younger versions of Father Dunstan and Winston. In one mission, with the cat-burglar you'll have to use all the stealth you can in the high-tech environment to meet your goals, cool, huh?
