Die Hard Trilogy 2 Preview
When Probe's Die Hard Trilogy first came out, I said to myself, "Wow! Games aren't going to get any better than this!" Of course you can all tell me I was wrong. Even I can make fun of myself for saying such an untruthful remark. If you don't know where I was headed with that, I meant to say "Yes, games have gotten a lot better". In fact, the new developer N-Space is promising to expand the horizon of action games with Die Hard Trilogy 2.
The game, once again features 3 games in 1 (hence the name "Trilogy"). And guess what else? N-Space is providing an interesting new story. It starts off with Super Cop John McClane (Bruce Willis) going to Las Vegas to visit an old chum' by the name of Kenny Sinclair. During all the fun and games in the gambling capital of the country, in some way, shape, or form McClane finds out that an international group of terrorists, or should I say "Violence Gang", who are coming across an evil plan, that could blow Vegas to bits. Of course, the chances of one man defeating a whole Terrorist organization are slim to none. But trying to win in a virtual world is kind of fun!
Like the previous title, there are 3 different types of game engines all-together. Third-person, first-person, and the Die Hard driving style. You know, the one where if you run over people. Plus, there are two-modes of gameplay. One mode, titled "Movie Mode", is all three gameplay styles put to the cool story. Or you can just play the "Arcade Mode", where you just play the type of style you want. This mode is good if you have to go somewhere soon and you got to sneak in a little fun game time.
I'm definitely psyched up for this title. If it's going to be anything like the first one, you'll see me buying at the Local Best Buy (that is if you live in Miami and you know what I look like.) So, anyways, keep checking PSXeXtreme for future updates of Die Hard Trilogy 2 from Philogram. I'll be tracking this game like a PSX2 sequel for Ace Combat.
