Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 Preview
Activision has just sent us a final build of Tony Hawk 2 and I just thought that I should share the good news with you guys. When I started playing the game, everything became a lot more clearer to me, the missions were easier some were actually pulled, the money bills had something to do with the game and the everything was just much more re-fined then the preview we received a month ago. For some strange reason when the logo screen appears it says that 'Marvel characters are property of Marvel inc.' Or something like that. This makes me wonder if Tony Hawk 2 has secret characters like SpiderMan in it or maybe the X-Men, or maybe the game just contains footage of one of the games, either way it's a mystery as far as I'm concerned.
The graphics have been improved as well, the body structure and detail hasn't been changed but the pop-up sure has been improved. Between the demo, the preview and the final build Tony Hawk 2's draw-in distance has come a long way. The textures also look a bit more crisp, they don't warp and become out of shape which is a good thing. New objectives have been added and some removed, the S-K-A-T-E letters have also been move around to much easier spots to locate unlike the incredibly difficult ones in the preview. I believe I forgot to mention the fact that the preview build was a bit on the steeper side of difficulty, but thankfully Neversoft has went the whole nine yards in order to make THPS2 dominant over the original in every way, that is also changing the difficulty on the game from the preview build. Honestly I couldn't find much wrong with Tony Hawk 2, hell it even gives you a demo of Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX. Oh before I forget I want to mention the incredible Rap/Rock soundtrack that THPS2 boasts. Unlike the first Tony Hawk which consisted of only rock beats, Tony 2 now has both Rap and Rock. So whether you are into TH hip-hop phase or the rock phase, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 should suit your needs.
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 is scheduled to be released on September 20th, and we'll have the review of the game pretty soon, likely before the game appears in stores.
