THQ has acquired the publishing rights to this sequel, and it could turn out to be a solid action title. 50 Cent is on a quest to retrieve his stolen loot, and he has to travel to the Middle East to get it back. Obviously, a whole lot of bad guys are going to bite the dust - or bite the sand - in Blood on the Sand, and that could be enough to entice many a gamer. Swordfish Studios simply needs to create a functioning mechanic and an entertaining gameplay foundation, and the rest should take care of itself. Of course, the competition is super high in the action category this generation, but we're not expecting a competitor to GTAIV. In cases like this, one has to modify their expectations a little, you know?
