EA has always attempted to make their major sports titles as realistic as possible, and if you're a fan of simulators, you can't miss this video. Even if you're not a hockey fan, you should still be able to appreciate the development and technical effort on display. Gameplay producer, David Littman, talks about getting the checking system up-to-date, and how they use "real momentum" in determining the outcome of the check. In other words, the size and accumulated speed of the player will be a major factor, which means you can't always get aggressive with every player on the ice. NHL 08 is looking plenty sweet right now, isn't it?
