In what many may call a surprising move, Volition has decided to move away from the uber-popular first-person view for their upcoming shooter, Red Faction: Guerilla. The two preceding titles in the series were most certainly FPSs, but the developers are going in a new direction with their next-gen project, and we have to admit, it's looking pretty darn good. We won't see it until next year, but as you can see in this beta gameplay trailer, they're already testing out the action. You may notice some over-the-shoulder shooting going on (somewhat reminiscent of Gears of War), but for the most part, this is straight-up third-person fun. Let's hope Guerilla delivers the single and multiplayer goods in spades.
