NXN Software and EA combine for alienbrain

It was announced today that NXN Software and Electronic Arts have entered into an agreement where EA will use the NXN alienbrain software to manage their game development projects at studios worldwide. The first signs of this technology appeared with EA testing out alienbrain on NHL 2002. Due to its success, EA has chosen to completely use alienbrain in NHL 2003 and other upcoming titles. NXN Software is the leading supplier of Digital Production Management (DPM) systems for the interactive entertainment, animation and new media industries.

"Over the course of several months, NXN alienbrain has proven through trials and tests that it possesses the maturity, strength and flexibility to handle the rigorous demands of our game development process," said Frank Russell, director of studio information systems, Electronic Arts. In fact, we've found that the comprehensive nature of NXNıs Digital Production Management system can enhance the overall management of todayıs high-end productions."
