Konami acquires portion of Genki

Konami announced today that it will be acquiring a 37.24% stake in Japanese software developer Genki for $2.36 million (315 million yen). The deal should be completed by March 31, as the acquisition will help strengthen Konami's software lineup. Genki has had experience with games including Wagnum Midnight and Tokyo Xtreme Racing for the PS2 and Virtua Fighter 3 and Daytona USA for the Dreamcast.
