State of Emergency edited?

Rumors have recently been circulating pertaining to the game State of Emergency. Apparently, it has been said that Rockstar would be releasing two versions of the game, an edited and unedited copy. Various retail locations also have been telling customers to "preorder the unedited version" of State of Emergency. Although the game has been receiving some very critical press relating to the violence and portrayal of civil disorder, a Rockstar representative has stated that releasing two versions of the game is "completely and utterly false."

In State of Emergency, there are two main modes, revolution and chaos. Revolution is more story-driven, while in chaos, players engage in straightforward action. Players take control of resistance fighters who have risen up and started riots against the Corporation, a massive company that uses mind control as a weapon of choice.

State of Emergency is scheduled for release on February 14.
