Japan's popular WonderSwan and PS2 get hooked up.

The WonderSwan is extremely popular among Japan. The Bandai product is very well known and the handheld has also gotten a makeover. The new WonderSwan is apparantly PS2 compatible and that means that you can hook up the console via PS2's USB ports. The best thing is that Square will not only be supporting the console with three Final Fantasy titles, but also WonderSwan may connect to the internet via PS2. This situation is quite similar to what Nintendo is doing with their Game Cube console, by allowing gamers to hook their Game Boy Advance's to hook up to the system. The WonderSwan's internet connection may actually be made up of connecting to PlayOnline and playing a Square or online compatible game with your Swan connected to the PS2. WS owners have the opportunity to download games just to make the experience even better. Now I wonder if Sony's PS2 Hard-Drive will play a role in any of this. The estimated release date for this service is 2001 and that is it.
