Spyro the Dragon 4 announced to be heading to consoles other than Sony's.
Okay, okay so the headline is a bit misleading, but yes it's true that X-Box along with Game Boy Advance and PC will all get the fourth iteration in the Spyro series. Of course the PS2 will also get the game, but due to a mutual agreement with Universal who owns the rights to Spyro has said that Spyro will land on all of the consoles mentioned above. Havas Interactive has purchased Universal, who as I said before owns Spyro, so Sony can't do diddly squat. Insomniacs has reported not to be behind this project at all and they are just planning on bringing out the third Spyro title this Fall and that is it for them. Spyro 4 will be released in Spring 2002, what I'm sickly worried about is Crash Bandicoot, I think Sony should quickly do something and secure him or he may slip away, but look on the other hand, consoles with mascots aren't "in" anymore. Mario has become the "most" annoying videogame character with his cheesy accent and Sonic's voice has been getting on my nerves lately. But I like Crash Bandicoot he is, laugh out loud funny, he's got a great personality and out of the all animals he is a Bandicoot. I never really knew that such a thing existed until Crash came along. Anyways Spyro's 4 game will not be a Sony exclusive anymore, but an X-Box, Game Boy Advance, PC and PS2 game as well.
