THQ Acquires publishing rights from Pixar

THQ has announced that they have reached an agreement with Pixar Animation Studios to develop games based on Pixar's next three movies. According to Steve Jobs, "This agreement will allow THQ's film-inspired games to benefit from longer development lead times and a growing creative dialogue with Pixar on each film release. Pixar is committed to creating the highest quality animated films for the enjoyment of families around the world. Additionally, we want the entertainment products inspired by our films to appropriately capture their magic, which our new agreement with THQ moves us all closer to achieving in the interactive arena."

The three upcoming movies being developed by Pixar are The Invincibles, Finding Nemo, and Cars. When THQ will release games based on these films and for what platform has not been revealed, but this new agreement lasts through the year 2008.
