Sony to release a degital camera compatible with PS2.
Today Sony unveiled its new line of Cybershot photo-cameras. These Cybershot cameras have a new feature called the Picture Paradise. This new inclusion makes the Cybershot cameras compatible with the PS2 via USB ports. This little feature will be supported in future, sports games and RPG games are two good examples of how this feature will coincide with games. Instead of seeing some default face on your custom character you can slap your very own mug on the athlete and impressive your friends at the same time. Or instead of seeing the main hero's face pop-up in the dialogue box of an RPG you can put your own face.
Companies like Square, Sun Soft, Idea Factory, Konami and Enterbrain are already planning games to work with this new product. Some of the games included: RPG Maker, Jikkyou World Soccer 2001 (a.k.a International Super Soccer), and Gold Paradise. Although this will be compatible with the Playstation 2, it is NOT a peripheral for the PS2, I repeat this is NOT a peripheral for PS2, these cameras can go up to the price tag of 99,800 yen ($940). The camera models with this PS2 compatibility are: DSC-P1, F505V, F55V, S70, S50, S30, F505K, MSAC-US1, and US5. They are all compatible with the PS2, and the model DSC-PC1 will be released October 20th and will sell for 99,800 yen.
