E3 2002: Knight Rider announced for PS2
Established Netherlands developer Davilex Games has announces that it has picked up rights to develop interactive media (in other words, videogames) based on the classic 1980s show, The Knight Rider, which of course starred David Hasselhoff in a tricked out talking vehicle named KITT. This agreement with the show's rightful owner Universal Studios gives Davilex to develop and publish the Knight Rider games across all consoles, including PC and GameBoy Advance. The first Knight Rider game is planned for a late 2002 release on the PC, PS2, Xbox, GC, and GBA.
The game will feature chunks of the racing, action and adventure genre. Of course, players will be the man himself, Michael Knight (as portrayed by David Hasselhoff on the show) and get to ride in KITT. KITT is of course the world's most technologically advanced vehicle, for those who didn't know. The car will feature turbo boost, ski mode, night vision, microwave jammers, super pursuit, and surveillance modes for your usage and advantage. Altogether, the game will take you through 10 missions, set through towns similar to those used in the TV show. Lastly, the game will feature characters and other aspects straight from the show, including Bonnie, Devon, KARR, Garth, and Goliath.
