E3 2002: THQ exhibits Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick

THQ officially revealed Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick today at E3. The latest addition in the franchise, the game is based on the Evil Dead movie trilogy with a cult following. The game is developed by VIS Interactive and will be released for the Playstation 2 in early 2003.

"Collaborating with THQ on the development of Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick has been a great experience," said Bruce Campbell. "The Evil Dead universe translates perfectly to a compelling interactive experience so fans can look forward to destroying hordes of Deadites on their PlayStation 2 and Xbox."

"Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick will continue the storyline of the classic Evil Dead trilogy while offering non-stop action complete with Ash's signature humor," said Michael Rubinelli, vice president of product development, THQ. "With more than fifty characters onscreen at one time, Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick truly captures the feel and experience of the Evil Dead movies."
