PS2 gets a multiplayer fix with the new MultiTap.

Sony has just released a Multi-Tap for their PS2. The multi-player adapter is styled a lot like the PS2 except it is much smaller making it look like a miniature Playstation 2 system. This little hookup box spans a three inch cord that goes into the PS2's controller port. Like the PS1 Multi-Tap, this MT (Multi-Tap) also has 4 controller slots as well four memory card slots. But what's unique about it is that not only does the MT's cord go into the the PS2's controller slot, but it also goes into the Memory Card slot.

Multi-Tap for the PS2 will be compatible with all future multiplayer titles that support more than 2 players simultaneously. Currently Street Fighter EX 3 is already working with the new Multi-Tap. Oh and the MT costs 3,600 yen (about $33).
