Squaresoft announces new titles, new profits
Squaresoft recently released their annual earnings report, in which they also revealed several new titles that they will be releasing this fiscal year in Japan. They also announced that Final Fantasy XI, which released on May 16th in Japan, already has more than 50,000 subscribed users. Loses caused by server trouble were estimated at around $700,000 U.S., but company representatives state that it will not have an effect on earnings in the future. The PC version is currently in development, and U.S. launches are on schedule for a 2003 release.
In addition, Square stated that they will be bringing several other titles to the market this fiscal year, such as World Fantasista, Nichibeikan Pro Baseball and a port of Front Mission to the Wonderswan.
