Dropship released for PS2

Dropship: United Peace Force has been released for the Playstation 2. Developed by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and published by Bam! Entertainment, Dropship is the second in a series of three games developed by SCEE and published in North America by Bam! Entertainment. Other titles include WRC: World Rally Championship which shipped earlier this year and a sequel to Wipeout Fusion which is scheduled to ship next week.

Dropship: United Peace Force is a mission based flight sim that takes place in the year 2050 where Nato has been replaced by the United Peacekeeping Force and the world is being threatened by political forces. Players assume the role of a freshly recruited pilot, taking the reigns of a high tech arsenal including several different vehicles.

"Dropship should definitely be on your radar this summer," said Alain Tascan, Vice President of Worldwide Product Development for BAM! Entertainment. "With its stunning photo-realistic environments, a variety of high-technology air and ground combat crafts and an innovative mission structure, Dropship provides a great action gaming experience that anyone who loves games will enjoy."

Dropship: United Peace Force is currently available in North America for $49.99 and is rated E.
