New glove peripheral announced

Essential Reality announced today a new peripheral product, the P5 computer "glove". The video game and entertainment retailer GameStop has reported accepting pre-orders for the product. the P5 glove is designed to provide control of video games, web pages, and 3D environments.

"We are very excited to be able to debut the new P5 glove at key retail outlets with our national pre-sales program," said Dan DeMatteo, President/COO of GameStop Corp. "We are currently marketing a P5-PC peripheral with software bundle because we anticipate it will be one of the most exciting and unique gaming products for the fourth quarter of this year. This is why we are already beginning to show the product in select stores, taking pre-orders from consumers who want to be the first to own and use the P5 glove."

"We are very fortunate to have GameStop as a premier retail partner for us as we launch the P5," noted Aaron Gavios, VP Sales for Essential Reality. "This pre-order program allows the many consumers who have inquired about purchasing the product in the past to reserve a unit for themselves immediately."

Essential Reality expects that the P5 will be compatible with the PlayStation2 and Microsoft Xbox game consoles, along with the PC.
