Console chart sales

In this year alone, Sony has sold over 2 million units of the Playstation 2. With somewhat of a slower season right now, it appears people are still attracted to that lovable black box. Microsoft continues to see why their console lacks overseas support, and Nintendo seems to have gained some ground after their console price drop. The sales listed below are taken from July 1-7:

  • PlayStation2 - 57,100
  • GameBoy Advance - 38,900
  • GameCube - 9400
  • PSone - 3800
  • Xbox - 3500
  • WonderSwan Color - 2400
  • GameBoy Color - 2000
  • Dreamcast - 190
  • Nintendo 64 - 150
  • WonderSwan - 120
  • PocketStation - 25
  • GameBoy - 24

That's a total of eight days everyone, and the PS2 was able to outsell the GameCube 5X and the Xbox 15X. Japan shows once again why it is the smartest gaming market in the world. Oh yeah, the United States is pretty good too. ;)
