Driver 3 announced/multiplatform

Driver 3, the third installment of the Driver franchise that began on PC and PSX in 1998, has officially been announced by Infogrames. Currently in development at UK-based Reflections, Driver 3 will be released in 2003 for GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC. Larry Sparks, vice President of European marketing at Infogrames, has this to say. "The success of the Driver franchise is a historic milestone in the gaming industry. Driver 3 on the PS2, Xbox, GameCube, and PC will undoubtedly take the franchise to another level of success and gaming experience." Reflections is responsible for the first two Drivers, as well as the recently released Stuntman, so it can be safe to assume that the same quality of vehicular chaos will be promised.
