Grandia Xtreme voice talent
Voice acting is in the rage now-a-days, especially when it features Hollywood celebrities. It's no secret that SquareSoft's Kingdom Hearts boasts one of the most impressive line ups of Hollywood celebs, but it's not the only game on the block to do so. Today, Enix of America announced that their highly anticipated upcoming RPG title, Grandia Xtreme, will feature the likenesses of Mr. Luke Skywalker himself - Mark Hamill, TV's Superman - Dean Cain, and Lisa Loeb (sorry, couldn't come up with an association for her). Grandia Xtreme will be the first original Grandia title on the PS2, and is scheduled to ship in September.
"We are extremely pleased to have Mark Hamill, Dean Cain, and Lisa Loeb as integral members of the Grandia Xtreme team and are thrilled with the work they have accomplished," said Paul Handelman, president of Enix America. "Consumers today demand a total experience from their favorite games and utilizing the talents of such accomplished professionals increases the quality of the gaming experience and brings the characters to life in an exciting new way."
Mark Hamill will take on the role of Colonel Kroitz, the Supreme Commander and a vicious leader with little to no care for his henchman. Kroitz loathes Dean Cain's character, who is of course the hero of the game, Evann. Evann's an optimistic youngster with a troubled past. Lastly, Lisa Loeb portrays the role of Lutina. Lutina is a confident officer of an elite Arcadian unit and the heroine of the story.
Grandia Xtreme is scheduled to ship this September and will retail for $49.99.
