Dukes of Hazzard License obtained

Ubi Soft has announced that it has received the license to produce new games based on the 1980's TV show Dukes of Hazzard.

Obtained from Warner Bros., Ubi Soft has already distributed Dukes of Hazard titles in 1999 and 2000 that sold 500,000 copies; SouthPeak Interactive published both of those games.

"Along with the nostalgia factor, the ultimate car chase adventure will be opened up to new fans, who demand fast-paced, high-octane excitement on their favorite next-generation game platform," said Jay Cohen, Ubi Soft's vice president of publishing.
