3rd party browser almost ready for Playstation 2.

Well it now appears that the Playstation 2 will be using the PlanetWeb browser that the Sega Saturn used and what the Dreamcast uses now. The Playstation 2 version was unveiled at the Ceatec Japan 2000 Exhibition in Japan. The PS2 PanetWeb browser will support MP3s, JavaScipt, Macromedia Flash 3.0, SSL 2.0/3.0, IRC Chat, and of course HTML. As for the hardware, it will be compatible with a mouse, a keyboard and a printer.

The browser will also be specially made for older TVs with lower resolution, and the PlanetWeb browser may even eliminate those jaggies that are more noticeable on older sets. No release date yet, but I expect it sometime next year along with the broadband release.
