BMX XXX passed on by some retailers

According to a recent report, retail chains Wal-Mart, Toys "R" Us, and KB Toys have decided not to stock store shelves with the Acclaim title BMX XXX. The game contains levels of nudity, sexual suggestiveness, and explicit language, which is something the retailers apparently do not want to promote in videogames. The core gameplay will focus on freestyle BMX tricks, but Acclaim has strongly promoted the mature content within the game.

Available for preorder at Electronics Boutique and GameStop, BMX XXX is scheduled to ship November 19. The United Kingdom is welcoming the game with open arms, as the country is reported to pride itself on the controversy of publicity stunts. Z-Axis is the developer of both BMX XXX and Dave Mirra BMX, and it is likely that Activision will look for a new developer of the Dave Mirra series next year.
