Eidos is not "for sale" anymore.
Today Eidos' Board of Directors announced that talks for selling the English based game publishing company have been officially put to an end. Eidos now says that they have no plans on selling the company to anybody, if you remember during the Summer there were big rumors flying around that Eidos may be bought out by KFC or even Playboy.
I always thought that Infogrames would be the ideal purchaser of Eidos since they are an English based company and they have already bought out big names such as Accolade and GT Interactive. This of course is the most healthy choice for Eidos, they will now remain independent and with a game like TimeSplitters being launched with Playstation 2 in just 16 days, Eidos is surely going places. Eidos will soon release Chicken Run the game based on the summer movie hit, 102 Dalmatians the game based on the movie of the same name, and Lara Croft's fifth outing Tomb Raider: Chronicles. Chicken Run and 102 Dalmatians are really coming along nice, but I don't feel the same about Tomb Raider 5 though.
