Fire Warrior gameplay details
THQ released today the first official gameplay information on Fire Warrior, the action game inspired by Warhammer 40,000. The game is currently in development at Kuju and is based on Games Workshop's tabletop strategy title. However, Fire Warrior is a first-person shooter where players are able to take control of an individual character instead of controlling an entire army.
Players join a team in charge of rescuing an Ethereal named Ko'vash who has been kidnapped by Imperial forces. Kais is the name of the Fire Warrior responsible for this quest that soon becomes an epic adventure. The game is stated to have 17 levels and no less than 16 different weapons with a four-player mode included with the single player option.
"We are extremely impressed with this, our first game with THQ. THQ has really captured the dark and brooding atmosphere of the 41st Millennium, while making an eminently playable and accessible game," said Jon Gillard, head of business development at Games Workshop. "We feel it will be a great introduction for those that are unfamiliar with our worlds, and a fantastic experience of immersion for those already involving themselves through our other products."
