VF4: Evolution coming to PS2

Sega announced recently that Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution will be coming to the Playstation 2 in Japan. The game is the arcade follow up to Virtua Fighter 4, which is considered one of the best fighting titles ever. Among others, VF4: Evolution will include new items, stages, and two new characters. Also, a Quest mode will be present that allows players to travel between the biggest arcades, while taking part in numerous tournaments and eventual competing for the championship. Continuous winning earns you money and items, allowing character buildup and other enhanced features. Over five hundred characters will be present in this mode, as the A.I. is currently being taken care of manually by Sega and unique fighters.

A training mode and better loading times are also being worked on diligently by Sega, as VF4: Evolution is due for release March 13, 2003 in Japan. We’ll keep you updated on all new information.
