Rez receives Japanese cultural award

It was announced today that Sega's stylish shooting title Rez has been selected to receive a special prize during this year's Agency for Cultural Affairs Media Festival. The award will be presented during the Festival, which will be held from February 28 through March 9 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Upon designating Rez an award recipient this year, judges for the festival noted, “Rez represents the elements of a self-confident designer. It's a work that fuses completely new imagery and sound for a new experience. It stands as a new approach toward game development.”
