All Star Baseball 2004 set to ship this weekend

Acclaim announced yesterday that All Star Baseball 2004, featuring Derek Jeter, is set to ship this weekend. Developed by Acclaim's Austin Studio, All Star Baseball 2004 is quite an ambitious title, featuring a reported 80 new features, including online downloadable rosters, as well as Spanish play-by-play and the official Negro Leagues license. In addition to these impressive features, this year's installment in the series will also include the following features:

  • Over 50 playable teams
  • 75 different stadiums, each complete with active dug-outs and massive 'jumbotron' screens.
  • 9 new gameplay modes, including the ability to relive and change the more memorable portions of the 2002 season
  • Over 1,00 different players from both the past and the present.

As if that weren't enough, All Star Baseball 2004 also promises a deeper, more customizable franchise mode, and a new Multimedia mode including interviews with some of the most famous ball players on the planet."All-Star Baseball 2004 builds upon our #1 position in the market with another high-quality gaming experience that sets a new benchmark, and it is sure to appeal to hardcore and casual baseball fans alike," said David Knies, Director of Acclaim Sports. "With more than 80 new features, All-Star Baseball 2004 is truly the deepest game with all the tools."

Look for All Star Baseball 2004 for the Playstation 2 on March 4th.
