EverQuest Online Adventures gets extra server

After 4 year's of dominance in the MMORPG genre, EverQuest has finally made the transition from PC to Playstation 2. In order to meet the overwhelming demand for the game, Sony Computer Entertainment is adding an additional server, allowing several thousand more gamers to join the virtual world of EverQuest via their PS2.

"EverQuest Online Adventures is already bringing thousands of people into the amazing online world of EverQuest and giving them the adventure of a lifetime," said Michael Lustenberger, director of product marketing for Sony Online Entertainment. "By adding another server, new players have the opportunity to get in at the ground floor and see what everyone is talking about as they begin unique adventures with a world full of new friends."

EverQuest Online Adventures comes with a free 30 day trial, after which the full game can be purchased for $49.99. In addition to the cost of the game, players will be charged a $9.99 monthly fee, per person, providing them with continuous access to the game world. The monthly fee can be paid using either a credit card or 'game cards', a specific system designed for the game.
