Midway announces Freestyle MetalX

Midway Sports Asylum has announced their extreme motocross game, Freestyle MetalX. Designed for those who want a more thrilling-styled motocross game, Freestyle MetalX will allow players a Tony Hawk-styled atmosphere with free roaming levels. Players can choose from nine riders including Ronnie "Kung Fu" Faisst, Nate "Destroyer" Adams, and others. Also, seven fictional characters will be included for additional flavor.

Freestyle MetalX will feature eight levels that are interconnected. As players unlock each level, it adds on to the previous level. Therefore, towards the end of the game, players will be riding in one gigantic level. There will be a handful of mini-games and a full-featured level editor. DVD extras will also be included in the game, and will show the lives of some of the top motocross riders. The in-game soundtrack features such artists as Motley Crue, Megadeath, Motorhead, and Twisted Sister. Freestyle MetalX will ship this June for the PlayStation 2.
