SX Superstar Announced

   AKA Acclaim announced today SX Superstar for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. The game is scheduled for a June release and is described as "an ultrarealistic trip into the essence of supercross." SX Superstar features over 24 riders and 20 different tracks. Also, the game will include a course editor with over 100 track pieces and six arenas. An impressive soundtrack has also been announced, with the following confirmed bands:

The Deftones – "My Own Summer"
Jimmie's Chicken Shack – "High"
Pitchshifter – "Genius" and "Microwaved"
Apollo Four Forty – "Cold Rock the Mic"
Orange 9mm – "Take You Away"
Fenix*TX – "Something Bad is Gonna Happen"
No Use For A Name – "Justified Black Eye"
Box Car Racer – "I Feel So"
N.E.R.D. – "Rockstar"
28 Days – "Rip It Up"

   "AKA Acclaim is committed to matching its games with dynamic soundtracks that enhance the gameplay experience," said Ben Fischbach, director of AKA Acclaim. "SX Superstar combines cutting-edge sights and sounds to deliver the best in action sports entertainment for the masses."

   SX Superstar is officially slated with a June 24 release in North America. We'll keep you updated on any further information.
