Vectorman Announced for E3

Sega of America has announced that a new Vectorman game is in development for the PlayStation 2. The third-person shooter will be displayed at this year's E3 and has a tentative release date of early 2004. In the game, players assume the role of a robotic soldier named Vectorman who has access to 15 weapons and 25 upgrades. Players must rescue the evil orbot named Volt, as they explore the planet Gamma 6. The game also features advanced AI and in-depth gameplay.

"Vectorman doles out destruction in spades," said Mike Fischer, vice president of marketing, Sega of America. "With a massive arsenal of circuit-shredding weapons and upgrades, things are bound to get messy. You'll almost start feeling bad for the orbots. Almost."
