IREM reveals specifics for their Playstation 2 display unit.

IREM, a Japanese developer, has shed some light on their project involving a Playstation 2 liquid crystal display unit, which the company calls "Private Base." The monitor is relatively small; weighing about a pound and designed for use on any tabletop. The IREM display unit is set for release in January of 2001, carrying a price of 50,000 yen, which equates to 490 American dollars. The system looks very promising thus far, and IREM hopes its display set will grab your dollar for your Playstation 2 viewing system. The set is one of several of a similar nature that have been announced by various companies.
