Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup Announced

Electronic Arts has announced that it is in development with Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup. Inspired by the sport of quidditch in the Harry Potter films, the game consists of two teams of seven players. Players will fly around on broomsticks, as four or more balls will be in play; these include a quaffle, two bludgers, and the golden snitch. Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup will stay consistent with the movies, as players can choose to be chasers, beaters, keepers, or seekers at any time in the game.

The International World Cup Tournament will be available to players once they are victorious as one of the four teams in the initial Hogwarts Cup. Once completed, they can choose to play as the USA, Bulgaria, England, Japan, France, Germany, Australia, or the Nordics. Each team will feature its own specific characteristics and host games in its own unique stadium. Along with the single-player mode, Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup will feature head-to-head play for the first time in its series of games.

Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup is scheduled for release at the end of the year.
