E3 2003: Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 Hands-on Impressions
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 is basically last yearís title with a new year plastered across it. Is this a bad thing? Not really, and the reason being that the game offers a golfing experience like no other. Although the controls may be somewhat difficult to get the hang of, as most of you know from playing the game in the past, Tiger Woods 2004 is the golf game to own when it is released. There are additional courses added for variety, along with improved gameplay that just simply blows any other competition away. The interface is easy to navigate through and the game isnít too difficult to play once you achieve a grasp on everything. The full representation of Tiger Woods 2004 is extremely sleek with fluent animations and additional emotions from the players. The ability to see Tiger Woods swaying his body in attempts to influence a ball is a feature that has been nicely achieved by EA, along with facial expressions and other body movements.
The environments in Tiger Woods 2004 arenít picture perfect, but they get the job done. At some points the game appears to be somewhat choppy and not distinctly defined, but these are rather distant graphics that donít affect the game too heavily. As you pan across the courses to better determine where to hit the ball, you will be able to see the assortment of environments and textures throughout the game. Although they are not a vast improvement from last year, as many portions of the game prove not to be, the game in itself is an amazing golf experience to play.
